Datsun first showcased the production version of its entry-level hatchback, the redi-Go, at an event held in April 2016. Based on the Renault Kwid’s platform, the bookings for this entry level hatch have already commenced while the deliveries are scheduled to begin in the month of June, 2016. We have already driven this latest offering from Datsun, its third in the Indian market, in the historic city of Kolkata. However, we are bound by an embargo and thus we cannot reveal the complete details about the new redi-Go. What we can share at the moment is the detailed image gallery of this new budget hatchback.

So while our correspondent Ayan Ghosh, who drove the vehicle in his hometown, digs into the local delicacies and works on the review simultaneously, we bring to you a detailed image gallery of the new redi-Go. The interiors are pretty decent too. The top of the line variant gets AUX and USB playability

Apart from the analogue speedometer, all the information is displayed on the compact LCD screen on the right bottom

The Datsun redi-GO will be priced between Rs. 2.5 lakh and 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The detailed variant-wise classification would be announced during the launch in June. Mechanically. the redi-GO draws power from the 0.8L three-cylinder engine that also propels the Renault Kwid and that comes paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The vehicle gets funky styling, decent cabin space, a high seating positionand best-in-class ground clearance of 185mm. The new Redi-Go is claimed to be a zippy car with good agility for class and great fuel economy.
