New 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe to be Launched on February 6, 2014

According to a report by ACI , Hyundai India will launch the new 2014 Santa Fe on 6th February, 2014.

 The new Santa Fe is developed on an entirely new platform and the car is larger than the car than the outgoing model. It is 40 mm longer and 5 mm wider, although the roofline is 45 mm lower. Wheelbase remains the same at 2,700 mm wheelbase.

Globally, the 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe is available with two petrol engine options. These include a 2 liter turbo and a 2.4 liter naturally aspirated motor. India gets the 2.2 liter diesel engine. The 2014 Santa Fe will use the same 2.2-litre oil burner with a VGT (variable-geometry turbo) from the current model.

The power and torque figures remain untouched at 194bhp and 44.45kgm respectively. The engine has seen minor upgrades with Piezo injectors for better fuel efficiency and lower emissions. The engine will be mated with six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission, with the on-demand four-wheel-drive system available as a standard fitment.

The 2014 Santa Fe features  the car maker’s Storm Edge design language. The Storm Edge design language is the new one from the Korean auto giant after the Fluidic.  Speaking of  the interiors, the car will feature a very stylish dashboard design and rich materials can be found in plenty. The car will boast of a long features list.
