The new BMW M4 Coupe has been showcased along with the M3 sedan sibling and as is a known fact, both the new cars share a lot more than just floor-space. For instance, both the cars are powered by the same 3.0-liter 6-cylinder TwinPower Turbo motor that belts out 431 HP (317 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft). With the 6-speed manual transmission, the new M4 Coupe dismisses the 100kmph figure from standstill in merely 4.3 seconds. With the optional 7-speed M DCT, the time reduces by 0.2 seconds to 4.1 seconds.

Top speed is electronically-restricted to 155 mph (250 km/h). However, opting for M Driver’s Package increases it to 174 mph (280 km/h).

The car also shares most of its body kit components and 18-inch M alloy wheels with the sedan sibling. One of the most important features is the carbon fiber roof which shaves off 6 kg (13 lbs) from the car’s weight and at the same time lowers its center of gravity. Another highlight would have to be the Active M Differential which uses an electronically-controlled multi-plate limited-slip differential for optimizing traction and directional stability.

There’s also an electronic power steering system providing the driver with three selectable modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport+.
