Maruti Ritz Facelift to Get an Auto ‘box

Maruti Suzuki is close to unveiling the facelifted version of its Ritz hatchback. The car has been in our market for three years now and with the Swift having received a complete model replacement, it is about time that the Ritz gets a liberal dosage of botox. The car will be soon seen with a revised front fascia with a new version of the slightly Bulgarian beard and new fog lamp surrounds. The front bumper too is all new and has some similarity with the all new Swift Dzire. This is not all as the interiors too will be seen sporting some minor changes.

The 1.2 Litre K-Series and the 1.3 Liter Fiat Multijet motors will be tuned a bit for slightly better fuel economy. The real news here is that the car will get an optional 4 speed automatic transmission for the petrol version of the car. The Ritz will be seen sharing the auto ‘box with the smaller A-Star. The new gearbox option should add practicality to the tallboy. The Ritz could also get a ZDi variant with full features for the diesel model.
