If this latest update is to be believed, the highly awaited Yamaha YZF-R3 may be closer to its India launch. This latest spy image suggests that this latest twin cylinder motorcycle was spotted somewhere near Navi Mumbai and appeared to be almost ready to reach the dealerships. A test mule of this upcoming motorcycle was spotted early last month. As we reported earlier, the new Yamaha YZF-R3 may reach the Indian showrooms by September 2015. Our sources also indicated that Yamaha will price the YZF-R3 at approximately Rs 2.95 lakh (ex-showroom) which is well below Kawasaki Ninja 300’s ex-showroom tag of Rs 3.50 lakh.
The Yamaha YZF-R3 is already available in many international market and is powered by a newly developed engine and equipped with a lightweight chassis. The 321cc inline two-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor on the YZF-R3 puts up a healthy 42PS of power and 29.6Nm of torque and comes mated to a constant mesh, 6-speed transmission. The R3 uses R-series technology which includes a direct-drive camshaft, forged pistons, carburized con rods, low-friction cylinders and much more. Safety net is provided by ABS that comes standard on the Yamaha YZF-R3. The motorcycle will be available in two colour shades – Race Blue and Midnight Black.

Yamaha YZF R25 will be more suitable for indian market. (R3 is outbof my budget)
One of our sources indicated the approximate price to us. We hope Yamaha brings in the R3 at that price tag.
