Going further to create a pool of technicians, Ford India today inaugurated its first independent technical training facility for the North region at Manesar, Gurgaon. Established in partnership with Technical Training Inc. [TTi], Technical training is spread over 18,000-sq-ft and will provide training to over 13,500 trainees per year.

As a part of the training program, trainees will be inducted on Ford’s current and forthcoming product portfolio to cater to customer requirements. The learning programs and techniques will be conducted in digitally computerized classrooms.

Speaking on the occasion, Anurag Mehrotra, Executive Director, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India said that the new facility is a testimony to their commitment towards ensuring a skilled work force, qualified with the certifications to deal with their products.

He further went on to add that their vision is to establish independent technical centres with modern facilities including body shop training in all four regions with this centre being the first steps towards the same. He said that their service initiatives strengthened by a trained technical workforce will play an important role in ensuring their long lasting relationship with the customer. The company now has seven Training centres in India; one each in Chennai, Cochin, Kolhapur, Ahmedabad, Mohali, Kolkata and Gurgaon.
