B&B from Siegen, Germany is a popular tuning firm. It recently came up with a group of engine upgrade kits for the latest generation of Volkswagen Beetle.
The top of the line 2.0 TFSI engine on stock car produces 200 hp (149 kW / 203 PS) and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft). The firm offers 5 options that bump up the power output of this motor. The  five stages of the upgrade kit are:
- 236 hp (240 PS / 177 kW) and 251 lb-ft (340 Nm) of torque
- 247 hp (250 PS / 184 kW)
- 261 hp (265 PS / 195 kW)
- 191 hp (295 PS / 217 kW)
- 316 hp (320 PS / 235 kW) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque
Stage 5 comprises of a B&B turbocharger, charger air cooler and full sport exhaust. The tuning firm claims a 5.6 second run to 100 kmph and a top whack of 155 mph (250 km/h). All the excitement comes at a ‘not so exciting’ price of €8950.Also available is a high performance brake system for €3795.
The fairer sex can now scare the likes of Porsches on the streets.
