Korean car maker Kia has unveiled the 2014 Kia Forte Koup at the ongoing 2013 New York Auto Show. The Koup is the third member of the Forte range to get an updated design and joins the Forte sedan and hatchback. The Forte Koup can be bought in two variants- EX and SX. The new Kia Forte Koup SX is the most powerful Forte Koup ever.
The Forte Koup SX is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder direct injection turbocharged GDI engine that has a max power output of 201 hp and a peak torque figure of 265 Nm. Transmission options for the car are a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters
The Koup EX is powered by a 2.0 litre four cylinder direct injection GDI engine that has a max power output of 173 hp and a peak torque figure of 209 Nm. The engine is mated to 6-speed automatic transmission.
EX gets features like stylish 16-inch alloy wheels, Rear View Camera, Bluetooth connectivity, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise control buttons and LED headlights with fog lamps.
The SX trim gets features like bigger 18-inch alloy wheels, dual chrome exhaust tips, LED tail lights, a slightly different front fascia, glossy black grill, larger front brakes, alloy pedals and front and rear seats with faux carbon fiber accents.
Both SX and EX also get options such as that of HID headlights, sunroof, navigation system, 10-way adjustable powered driver’s seat, heated steering wheel, heated front seats and cooled driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, SmartKey with push-button start and electric chromatic rear-view mirror
