The 2016 Auto Expo is being held in Greater Noida in the Delhi-NCR region of India at the India Expo Mart from 5th to 9th February 2016. While those dates are meant for Auto Expo 2016 public admission, the motor show will also have two days, i.e. 3rd and 4th February reserved exclusively for the media. In its 13th edition now, the Auto Expo is a biennial event and is the country’s biggest exhibition platform for the auto industry. The grand exposition witnesses participation from every worthwhile automobile and two-wheeler manufacturer from India and around the world. Car, two-wheeler and commercial vehicle manufacturers use the platform to showcase their upcoming, existing and concept products while also launching some of their new offerings at the event. In essence, Auto Expo 2016 is the biggest event related to the Indian auto industry and by a huge, huge margin.

For the 2016 edition, the two important car makers who have given the exhibition a miss are Volvo and Skoda.
India being one of the largest markets for two-wheelers in the world, the Auto Expo is also a great platform for bike manufacturers to showcase their products. The Indian auto market has seen unprecedented action in the two-wheeler segment in the past two years with most manufacturers of global repute having set shop in the country. The 2016 Auto Expo, thus, promises to enthral the Indian audience with a two-wheeler line-up hitherto not witnessed at the gala.
Surprisingly, three important two-wheeler manufacturers, namely Harley-Davidson, Royal Enfield and Bajaj Auto have decided to miss the 2016 Auto Expo. The absence of Bajaj Auto also means their Austrian Partner KTM is also not participating in the event. We’ll surely miss these makes at the event, but having said that, we also expect plenty of action from the rest of the manufacturers to make up for it.
In addition to the car and bike exhibits, there would also be commercial vehicle companies like Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Atul Auto, Eicher, Mahindra and others showcasing their big commercial machines. There is also a Components Expo which is being held as a part of the event, separately at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from 4-7 February 2016.
