Frankly, we have lost count of the number of facelifts India’s popular cab Tata Indica has received. Not to mention the gazillion body styles the car came/comes with. Now, Tata Motors has come up with a mild facelift for the eV2 version of the popular car. As usual, the trickledown effect is in works here and the car gets the front fascia from the Indigo. The car also gets a rear spoiler, alloy wheels and body decals. The motor on duty continues to be the 1,396 cc CRDI unit that delivers 70 PS @ 4,000 RPM and 140 NM at 1,800-3,000 RPM. What it also delivers is a stellar fuel efficiency figure.
Other improvements include revised gear ratios, a new starter motor protection and 10kg saving on body weight. Tata Indica eV2 offers as many as three variants. Tata Indica eV2 range starts at Rs. 401,162 (Ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes with a 24 months/ 75,000 km warranty.
