The deliveries of the same were then rumoured to begin from March of 2017 and now it seems that the superbike-maker has already put the new Busa in their showrooms. One of Suzuki’s dealership in Delhi put up a few celebratory images on their social media channel congratulating the first customer – Gaurav Monga. The post mentioned that the model delivered to Gaurav was the first unit of the 2017 model. Interestingly, the model seen from the photographs miss out on the number plate holder and a two piece saree guard which were reportedly mandated for the superbike. The assembly of the bike is carried out at Suzuki’s plant in Manesar, Gurgaon.

The bike’s local assembly resulted in a price cut amounting to INR 2 lakhs. Speaking of the specs, the  superbike is powered by a 1340cc 4-Cylinder, Liquid-cooled engine that produces 197 hp of power and 155 Nm of torque. The power is pushed to the wheel with the help of a 6 speed transmission. The dual-tone colour options offered on the Hayabusa include Candy Daring Red with Metallic Mystic Silver, Pearl Bracing White with Metallic Mystic Silver and Metallic Thunder Gray with Glass Sparkle Black.

The Hayabusa has been around in the same shape and style for a while now and it is high time that the maker gives its an upgrade it deserves. Well, the folks at Suzuki are already in process and there are rumours that the Busa wont just get a visual make over but also a new engine. Previous reports suggested that Suzuki is working on a 1500cc Hayabusa that will get a supercharged engine. If that is true, then this Japanese monster will be back with vengeance.
