These vehicles, expertly modified in collaboration with authorized external vendors, mark a significant advancement in addressing various mobility requirements.
Hilux: Tailoring Mobility Solutions
Before unveiling these special-purpose Hilux vehicles, TKM conducted a comprehensive market survey to identify the unique needs of specific consumers, including the Indian Army. Working closely with authorized external vendors, TKM made tailored modifications to two Hilux vehicles, creating solutions that serve the evolving mobility needs of various sectors and markets.
Two Noteworthy Modifications
Two standout modifications resulted: the Field Diagnosis Vehicle (FDV) and the Forest Patrolling Vehicle (FPV).
- Field Diagnosis Vehicle (FDV)
– The FDV addresses operational and logistical challenges faced by the Indian Army in diverse terrains and climatic conditions. It serves as a vital asset, offering essential vehicle servicing in remote locations and supporting defence sites.

- Forest Patrolling Vehicle (FPV)
– On the other hand, the FPV plays a crucial role in patrolling and surveillance for the Indian Army. It boasts features like fog lamps for enhanced nighttime visibility, digital video recording capabilities, and a winch for emergency rescue operations, enhancing troop safety and security.

In addition to these specialized Hilux vehicles, TKM also showcased the general-purpose Hilux, highlighting its versatility in addressing the personal and business needs of consumers across various sectors, such as agriculture, construction, mining, and rescue operations.
