After an onslaught of a series of teasers, Tata Motors has finally launched its upcoming Red Dark Editions. The Nexon, Safari, and Harrier get the Red Dark Editions which are based on their existing Dark Editions. The teaser revealed the silhouette of all three models however, their design details weren’t known so far.
All three models now sport red highlights on the inside and outside. These will be the new top-spec variants of these SUVs and are the replacement to the now discontinued Jet Editions. The editions are based on the Harrier & Safari Red Dark Editions which were showcased at the 2023 AutoExpo.
Red Dark Edition: Exteriors

There are minimal changes to the exterior visual bits of Red Dark Edition SUVs over the existing Dark Edition. The red elements are seen on the brake calipers and front grille. There is also a new Dark badging colour on the fenders which comes embossed in red.
The exterior paint remains the same as the Dark Editions, i.e., the Oberon Black.
Red Dark Edition: Interiors
The main differentiator between the existing Dark Edition and the new Red Dark Edition is the ‘Carnelian Red’ interiors. The dashboard is finished in a Steel Black hue and gets glossy black inserts.
The grab handles and armrest have also gotten the red leatherette treatment in this edition. The Carnelian red leatherette upholstered seats give the interiors a sporty premium appeal. The door handles and panoramic sunroof gets red coloured ambient lighting.

Red Dark Edition: Features & Other Details
The feature additions have seen the biggest changes in the Tata Harrier and Safari SUV duo. Tata has upgraded their feature list with the larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system which comes with a new slicker interface.
Tata’s flagship SUVs will also get a fully digital 7-inch instrument cluster, unlike the semi-digital unit on the current models. We have explained all the new features elaborately in our recent story which you can read here.

Red Dark Edition: Now With ADAS
ADAS is a major upgrade for the SUVs which will get them on par with their rivals. Both SUVs will now come equipped with a slew of safety tech. Safety-kit includes forward & rear collision warning, auto-emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, high-beam assist, and lane departure warning.
Other features like blind spot detection, lane change alert, door open alert, and rear cross-traffic alert are also present. Whereas a 360-degree camera is also a part of the equipment list.
Red Dark Edition: Prices
The Harrier Red Dark edition is priced at Rs 21.77 lakh while the Safari Red Dark edition is priced at Rs 22.61 lakh. Prices of the Nexon Red Dark Edition petrol is Rs 12.35 lakh, while the diesel comes at Rs 13.7 lakh.
There are no changes to any of the models in terms of engines or transmissions.
