MG Motor India has announced a price increase for some of its car models, including the popular budget-friendly electric vehicle, the Comet. This comes after a price reduction implemented earlier this year.

Comet EV Prices Up on Select Variants
The price hike applies to specific variants of the MG Comet EV, not the entire lineup. The Comet comes in three variants: Executive, Excite, and Exclusive. While the base Executive variant (Rs 6.99 lakh) remains unchanged, higher trims like the Exclusive (fast charger) see a bump of Rs 13,000. Similarly, Excite (fast charger) and Exclusive variants experience price increases of Rs 11,000 and Rs 11,800 respectively.
Other MG Models Affected
MG has also raised prices on select models within the Astor and Hector ranges. However, specific details on these adjustments haven’t been provided.
Overall Price Range for the Comet EV
Following the price revision, the MG Comet EV now ranges from Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 9.40 lakh (ex-showroom). This price range reflects the adjustments made to specific variants.
A Note on Availability
The MG Comet EV offers three standard variants alongside the exclusive EverGreen limited edition. Unlike the standard variants, the EverGreen retains its original price point.
