Updates in the powertrain
Honda has updated the powertrain of the Dio with an updated OBD technology. Now, the updated powertrain is ready to meet the latest emission norms. Mechanically, this scooter is powered by a 110cc 4-stroke PGM-Fi petrol engine which makes 5.71kW of power and 9 nm of torque.
The new Honda Dio comes with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP) technology. This technology is introduced to ensure more fuel combustion with less friction. Moreover, Honda claims that this technology optimizes the energy output and ensures lower NVH levels of the engine.
Also, Honda has introduced the Idling Stop System which reduces emissions and minimizes fuel wastage by shutting off the engine automatically. The engine can be restarted by twisting the throttle.
The Aesthetics of Honda Dio
The new Honda Dio boasts a bold and aggressive design. Its front end is highlighted by a full LED headlamp and signature LED position lamps below the handlebar. However, there is a chrome element in the handlebar which looks like a headlight.
The chrome element between the turn indicators emerges the bold and aggressive attire of this scooter. At the rear, a sporty grabrail and tail accentuate the scooter’s overall design. Additionally, the Dio features 12-inch alloy wheels at the front and 10-inch alloy wheels at the rear.

The new 2023 Dio boasts numerous features for the convenience of the riders. It features an engine kill switch and smart key with keyless entry and ignition adding to the convenience. Honda has updated the digital-analog cluster of the new Dio. The updated cluster shows numerous details like total trip distance, clock, and side stand indicator. It also displays other fuel efficiency-related information, giving riders a more comprehensive understanding of their scooter’s performance.

Moreover, the Dio features Tubeless Frictionless tires that provide superior handling, boosting rider confidence. These tires minimize energy loss while maintaining optimum grip, enhancing overall riding performance.

The scooter is available in five color options, including Pearl Black, Metallic Gray, Rebel Red, Precious White, and Mid Night Blue.
