First Kia Syros Rolls Off Assembly Line

Kia India has begun production of its newest SUV, the Kia Syros, at its state-of-the-art Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh. The Syros, unveiled globally in December 2024, is Kia’s latest “Made-in-India” offering, tailored for urban and tech-savvy customers. Deliveries are expected to start in February, following the price announcement on February 1.

Specifications and Features

Built on Kia’s K1 platform, the Syros combines advanced technology, safety, and comfort. It offers four standard trims and two optional trims, catering to diverse customer needs. The SUV provides multiple powertrain options, though specific details are awaited.

Exterior Highlights
The Syros features Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, emphasizing bold aesthetics and functionality. The exterior includes the Signature Digital Tiger Face, starmap LED lighting, and R17 crystal-cut alloy wheels. These elements lend the SUV a distinctive and muscular appeal.

Interior Innovations
The cabin is spacious and luxurious, equipped with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof and a 76.2 cm (30”) Trinity Panoramic Display, combining infotainment and instrument clusters. A segment-first rear seat offers recline, slide, and ventilation functions, enhancing passenger comfort. The 64-color ambient lighting and flexible boot space add to the premium feel.

Advanced Safety and Technology

The Syros is loaded with 20 safety features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, and Vehicle Stability Management. It also incorporates Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), with capabilities such as Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

Kia Connect 2.0 enhances the SUV’s technological edge with real-time diagnostics and over-the-air (OTA) updates for 22 controllers. Additionally, the Kia Advanced Total Care (KATC) program ensures preemptive maintenance to prevent breakdowns.

Pre-Launch Success

The Syros has already received 10,258 pre-launch bookings, signaling strong market anticipation. It will make its first public appearance at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in New Delhi, starting January 17.
