Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has launched the facelifted version of the Hyundai Aura. The entry-level Hyundai sedan has got some visual updates along with a feature overhaul just like the Grand i10 Nios
What’s New – Design
The body shell and the overall silhouette of the Aura haven’t changed. There are quite a few visual changes though. The front gets a new split-hexagonal black grille flanked by new inverted L-shaped DRLs and the fog lamps have now been removed. The front bumper also looks wider and bigger overall giving a larger stance to the sedan. The top variant gets new dual-tone 15-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, a new rear-wing spoiler has been added for a sporty look and a chrome garnish gives the car a more premium feel.
What’s New – Interior
The cabin of the new Aura also gets some considerable upgrades. The Upholstery has a new pattern for a more upmarket feel. The dash gets premium glossy balck inserts. The front seats get the Aura branding etched into them. The top-end Asta variant also gets blue-coloured footwell lights.
What’s New – Features
One of the major overhauls on the Grand i10 Nios is the features package. The new Aura now comes with a new 8.89 cm (3.5″) Cluster with Multi-Information Display, Cruise Control, Wireless Charger, Fast USB type-C port, etc. Other features include:
- 20.25 cm (8″) touchscreen display audio with smart phone navigation
- Full Automatic Temperature Control(FATC)
- Smartphone Connectivity (Apple CarPlay & Android Auto)
- Voice Recognition
- Rear AC Vents
- Smartkey with push button start/ stop
What’s New – Safety
Another overhaul on the Aura is on the safety front. Here is a list of all the new features:

Engine and Transmission
There is no change in the engine and transmission options. A point to note, the diesel variant is no longer available and the petrol engine is now E20 compatible. This means that the engine supports 20% ethanol blended fuel as per the latest RDE norms. The engine is the same 1.2L Kappa engine that produces 83 PS @ 6000 rpm and 113.8 Nm @ 4000 rpm. There are two transmission options available in the form of a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. There is also a CNG option which is paired with the 1.2L Kappa manual and produces 69 PS and 95.2 Nm.
Colours and Price
The new Aura is now available in 6 mono-tone colours. There is a new Starry Night colourway that is exclusive to the Aura. The other five colours are Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Aqua Teal, Titan Grey, and Fiery Red.
The prices for the new Aura start at ₹6.29 lakh ex-showroom and go all the way up to 8.87 lakh ex-showroom.. Variant-wise prices are below:
