Simple Wave Launched At Rs 1.09 Lakh, Gets 243km Range And 70-Litre Storage

Bengaluru-based Simple Energy has finally launched the much anticipated Wave EV. It was earlier expected to be called Arrive, but Simple Energy recently confirmed the Wave name. The new electric scooter marks the brand’s entry into the family scooter space and brings a more practical design, a large storage area and four battery choices.

The Simple Wave is priced from Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). It will be sold in six models across the S, Wave and Wave+ range. Deliveries are scheduled to start from September 25, 2026.

Design

The Wave has a different look from Simple Energy’s One range. The design is smoother and more suited to everyday family use. At the front, it gets a horizontal LED headlamp with a clean-looking front apron. The indicators are placed around the handlebar area. The scooter also gets a flat floorboard, which should make it easier to carry bags and other daily stuff.

Talking about the rear, the Wave gets a slim LED tail lamp with integrated indicators. A large single-piece seat and a proper grab rail give it a more practical appearance. There are six colours to choose from:

  • Pearl White
  • Polar Blue
  • Forest Green
  • Coral Red
  • Twilight Black
  • Dolphin Grey

The seat is 920mm long and the seat height is 775mm. Simple has also provided 175mm of ground clearance and 300mm water-wading capability.

70-Litre Storage

Storage is one of the biggest talking points of the Wave. The scooter offers up to 70 litres of total storage.

The 4-litre Pill storage is placed on the side for quick access. Another similar storage unit can also be added as an accessory.

Braking hardware includes a front disc and rear drum brake with CBS. Simple has also introduced its Hushdrive technology for quieter drivetrain operation.

Charging is supported through portable chargers. The Wave+ can charge from 0 to 80 per cent in around 2 hours 15 minutes using fast charging.
