Finally, after a long wait, Audi has showcased the new Q3 in India. The model made its global debut last year in the month of June, and now the third generation has reached the Indian market ahead of its launch during the festive season. The new Q3 gets a larger body, a fresh cabin and more technology. It will continue to sit below the Q5 in Audi’s SUV range and will take on the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
Bigger Than Before
The new Q3 has grown in size and gets a more noticeable road presence.

The front end has split LED headlamps, a wide grille and a large honeycomb air intake. A silver skid plate adds a different touch to the lower bumper. On the sides, Audi uses body-coloured cladding, roof rails, and dual-tone alloy wheels. The chrome beltline also gives the SUV a longer visual profile. The rear has a new lighting setup with split tail-lamps connected by an LED strip. The Audi logo in the centre is illuminated.
A New Look Inside
The cabin sees some of the biggest changes on the new Q3. The dashboard now uses Audi’s curved Digital Stage setup. Key cabin features include:

- New four-spoke steering wheel

- Panoramic sunroof
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Dual-zone climate control

Audi has also moved the gear selector to a stalk behind the steering wheel. This frees up space around the centre console and gives the cabin a cleaner layout.
The centre area houses the start button, media controls, electronic parking brake, wireless charging pad and cup holders.
2.0 Litre Turbo Petrol With Quattro
Audi is expected to offer the Indian Q3 with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.

The engine sends power through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Quattro all-wheel drive is expected to be offered as standard.
Audi also plans to offer features such as Level 2 ADAS, powered front seats and an auto-park function.
India Launch And Rivals
The new Q3 will be locally assembled in India. Its expected price is around Rs 60 lakh, although the final price and variant details will be announced closer to the launch.
The SUV will face strong competition from the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. Other premium options such as the Mini Countryman also sit in the same broad space.
