Mumbai’s streets buzzed with a different kind of horsepower this Sunday morning. The JK Tyre-WIAA Women’s Rally to the Valley 2025 flagged off from NSCI, Worli, uniting over 300 women across 100 cars in a spectacular celebration of spirit, empowerment, and sheer motorhead fun.

Presented by JK Tyre and organised by the Western India Automobile Association (WIAA), this rally has been a steady favourite on the calendar of India’s motorsport events for women. Now in its latest edition, it continues to grow louder and prouder.
A timed rally
The rally runs in the classic Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) format. This means precision over speed — it’s not about how fast you drive, but how perfectly you stick to your assigned speed and timings. Stray a little, arrive early or late, and you pick up penalties. It makes for a strategic, skillful event that welcomes both first-timers and seasoned racers.
A rally with a message
Beyond the odometers and route maps, the rally shines a light on issues that matter. From road safety awareness and sustainability to supporting women traffic police and championing the ‘Save the Soil’ movement, participants took to the streets with messages larger than themselves.

Among the dignitaries flagging off the event were actor Pooja Batra, Mr. Praveen Gupta (CMO, JK Tyre), and Mr. Nitin Dossa (Executive Chairman, WIAA) — each echoing the rally’s importance as more than just a motorsport event, but a social movement on wheels.
Mr. Sanjay Sharma, Head of Corporate Communication & Motorsport, JK Tyre, called it a proud moment, reaffirming JK Tyre’s decade-long commitment to inclusivity in motorsports. The rally will cruise through Mumbai’s most iconic landmarks and wrap up in Nashik, where winners will be celebrated in style.

Final Thoughts
Now that’s what I call traffic worth getting stuck in! A convoy of 300+ fierce women making a statement on Mumbai’s tarmac while raising awareness for social causes? This rally isn’t just about engines and exhaust notes — it’s about making noise where it matters. Kudos to the drivers and organisers for proving that a little throttle and a lot of purpose go a long way!
