Renault’s Duster facelift has been caught on Indian roads for the very first time. The Duster has penned a success story for the French carmaker in India by solidifying its presence as a no-nonsense, yet practical entry-level SUV. Now, the Duster has been given a splash of freshness, and Renault has begun testing this facelifted model in Chennai.
The spy images reveal that the Renault Duster facelift will get new LED/LED-effect tail lamps and a new design for the alloy wheels. Though not visible in these spy shots, the facelift will possibly be accompanied by a set of new headlights, revamped bumpers, and a reworked front grille. One of the spy shots also suggests that Renault might have made some changes inside the cabin as well.
The facelift will also witness Renault introducing a new 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission in the Duster. This transmission, which will likely get a low ratio mode, has been christened as the Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) system. This autobox will only be offered with the 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine which develops 110 PS of max power. However, Renault India will only offer this setup in the 2WD version of the Duster, at least at launch. This very 1.5-litre oil burner will also be available with 86 PS of power, and the outgoing 105 PS petrol engine shall also be continued as it is.
The dashboard has been kept under wraps, leading us to believe that some changes might have taken place there

When is Renault Duster Diesel Automatic being Planned for launch… Please LAUNCH soon… We are waiting.. And are excited about this NEWS…Renault should launch Duster Diesel Automatic Immediately in September ahead of Festive season, to cash on… There is immense interest in Automatic and Hyundai Creta has reported over 30% bookings of Automatic version and they have made changes in their production plans accordingly, infact they were much surprised by the automatic requirement, having expected only 10% of the total bookings.. It means of the 32000 bookings Hyundai Creta has received 9000 bookings are for Automatic itself, which is a significant number and completely new opportunity ….The waiting period for Creta Automatic has gone upto 11 months as per the dealer I spoke to in Mumbai……!!!!!!
