Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Alto Facelift

Spied: Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 face lift spotted once again, interiors revealed

Upcoming Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Facelift - 1

Earlier this month, we saw the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 ahead of its launch courtesy the motoring paparazzi. Those set of images brought us the exterior appearance of the entry-level hatch but new spy images have captured the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Alto 800’s interiors. The vehicle in the images is the demo car at a dealer yard in Goa. Now there aren’t many changes on the inside and the dashboard layout continues to remain unchanged from its predecessor. The car in the spy images is the top of the line VXi model and thus gets USB and AUX compatibility in the in-car audio system.

As we reported earlier, the exteriors get several changes which might not be too significant but should be enough for the hatchback to compete with the new Datsun Redi-Go more effectively. The list of updates on the outside include a reworked fascia with mildly re-designed headlamps and grille. The hexagonal air dam on the previous version has been replaced by a trapezoid shape.

Mechanical specs are expected to remain unchanged and the new Alto 800 will continue to draw its power from a 796cc petrol engine with 48PS of peak power and 69NM of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. The ARAI certified fuel efficiency figure stands at 22.74 kmpl. The new Alto 800 will be offered in petrol and CNG variants, as before.

The car has already reached the dealer yards so the launch may not be too far away. We would bring you all the updates about the new Alto 800. Meanwhile, share your views about the new Alto 800 with us through the comments section below.
