Royal Enfield Himalayan Launch (73)

Royal Enfield launched the much awaited Himalayan adventure tourer motorcycle earlier this month at a price of Rs. 1.55 lakhs (Ex-Showroom- Maharashtra). The bike is available with dealerships across the country with the only exception being New-Delhi. The authorities had banned the Himalayan as well as other recently launched two wheelers as they didn’t conform to the BS-IV emission norms.

Having lifted the ban now, the Himalayan is currently on sale with a BS-III engine and comes with a price tag of Rs. 1,73 ,676 (On-Road, Delhi). Meanwhile, the BS-IV norms have been pushed further and will now stand to be implemented from 1st of April 2016. Royal Enfield, owned by Eicher Motors will now have to come up with a BS-IV compliant engine within a year, meaning 1st April 2017.
