Audi Q3 Vail unveiled at North American International Auto Show

Recently, German car maker Audi unveiled the BMW X1 rivaling Audi Q3 SUV. Now, the car maker officially unveils the Q3 Vail concept. The concept vehicle was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show and is named after the renowned skiing destination in Colorado. The Vail’s exterior body is done up ‘Energy Red’  while the body cladding gets matte gray treatment, gloss black accents and aluminum trim. The car also sports a dual exhaust system, 5 spoke 20-inch alloy wheels and a roof rack with integrated LEDs.

On the inside, the Vail gets a dose of leather and Alcantara along with stainless steel mesh trim. The cargo compartment too has been updated and gets a heated carpet that results into “a warm area to sit on when putting on or taking off your ski boots.” As if all this was  not enough, good folks at Audi decided to go a step ahead and provided a custom-designed Thermos with a recharging system that is built into the cup holder.

Now, let us get to some real business. Beneath that hood is a turbocharged 2.5 liter five-cylinder motor that pumps out as many as 310 horses and churns out 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of pulling power. The powerhouse is mated to a seven-speed S tronic transmission and also comes with a quattro all-wheel drive system.  The crossover accelerates from nothing to ton in 5.5 seconds and has a top whack of 262 km/h (163 mph).
