Tata Unveils Electric CV Portfolio at Auto Expo

Tata Motors was one of the biggest automakers taking part in this year’s AutoExpo with numerous showcases in varied segments and types of vehicles being displayed by it. From small cars like the Altroz & Punch to electric SUVs like the Harrier & Sierra, to commercial vehicles powered by various fuels, Tata had it all.

Being one of India’s biggest transport & mobility solutions providing companies, Tata unveiled a slew of trucks running on sustainable and green energy and fuels. Here’s a detailed look at the commercial vehicles showcased by the homegrown automaker at this year’s Auto Expo.

14 New Unveils

The company showcased the comprehensive range of greener, sustainable logistics and mass mobility solutions across CV segments powered by natural gas, electric, and hydrogen.

For long-haul trucking, the company exhibited four clean propulsion technologies integrated into the Prima range: Hydrogen ICE, Hydrogen Fuel Cell EV, Battery EV & LNG.

It also displayed the Starbus Fuel cell EV, which is claimed to be India’s first Hydrogen fuel cell bus for commercial application. Prima E.55S, the fuel cell-powered tractor concept, and Prima H.55S, the hydrogen ICE-powered concept truck. 

Additionally, it unveiled Signa (28 to 55 T range), Azura (7 to 19T range), Ultra E.9- Zero emission, smart logistics city truck, Magic EV- Electrified version of last-mile passenger transport and Prima E.28K- Zero emission tipper concept for Mining and closed loop applications. 

Other exhibits include Ace EV- Zero emission last mile distribution small commercial vehicle, Starbus EV, Yodha CNG & Intra V20 BiFuel (long range), Prima G.35K, Winger with luxurious interiors and smart digital and connected vehicle offerings such as e-Dukaan, Fleet Edge & Fleet Management Solution.

With its display of vehicles, concepts, and solutions, the company has demonstrated its future readiness to fulfil the evolving mobility needs of a rising India holistically.

With the theme ‘Moving India Forward,’ the CV maker drove toward new dimensional innovations by providing holistic solutions and richer customer experiences. The company has also announced that it aspires net-zero emissions by 2045 for the commercial vehicle business.
