It’s finally here! The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has been launched globally. Prices in India start at ₹3.48 lakh ex-showroom. Customers can book the motorcycle at dealerships starting today.
Variants and Colours
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is available in two variants – the Super Meteor 650 and Super Meteor 650 Tourer. The Tourer version gets a windshield, pillion backrest, and a touring seat as standard. The two variants are further split into three sub-variants. The Super Meteor 650 gets two distinct sub-variants namely, Astral and Interstellar while the Super Meteor 650 Tourer is available in the Celestial trim. The sub-variants only denote the colour of the motorcycles. The Super Meteor 650 gets five – Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Grey, and Interstellar Green. The Super Meteor 650 Tourer on the other hand gets two colourways – Celestial Red and Celestial Blue. The Celestial colours are dual-tone as standard with white being the secondary colour.
Engine
The engine on the Super Meteor 650 is shared with the Interceptor and the Continental GT however, it has been reworked and tuned to handle the cruiser’s characteristics and the added weight. The 648 cc mill puts out 46.3 bhp and 52.3 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed transmission.
New Features
The Super Meteor 650 comes with a host of new features. It gets alloy wheels, USD forks, LED headlamps, LCD display, adjustable clutch and brake levers, tripper navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, a USB socket, etc. Most of these features are a first on a Royal Enfield.
