PMI Electro – India’s First Company To Deliver 1,000 E-buses

PMI Electro Mobility today announced the delivery of its 1,000th electric bus, becoming the first company to achieve this milestone. Delivered under the FAME II scheme, PMI’s 1,000th electric bus was flagged off by the Union Minister of Heavy Industries, Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, and Minister of State of Heavy Industries, Krishan Pal Gurjar.

The 1,000th e-bus was delivered to the Directorate of Transport, Uttar Pradesh, under the FAME II scheme. PMI Mobility’s e-buses will strengthen the government’s goal of achieving zero carbon emissions. With this, PMI has further strengthened its leadership position in the country’s electric bus segment.

Each PMI e-bus can save 28,000 kg of CO2 every year, reducing the overall carbon footprint of the 1,000 e-buses. PMI’s e-buses run across 26 cities in India including Delhi, Shimla, Rajkot, Bhubaneswar, Lucknow, Kolkata, Agra, Mangalore, Prayagraj, and Ladakh. They come equipped with safety systems like real-time monitoring and provisions like CCTV cameras to offer reliable and comfortable transportation.

PMI has a manufacturing plant in Dharuhera, Haryana and is setting up another in Pune, Maharashtra. The company also has a women-employed battery assembly plant operated by electric bus depots with a capacity of 44 MW.
