Ola Adds New S1 and S1 Air models

With the launch of the eagerly awaited Ola S1 Air and the extension of its wildly successful Ola S1 lineup, Ola Electric, India’s largest EV manufacturer, has today accelerated the momentum towards ending the #ICEAge.

The Ola S1 Air has also been launched in 3 new varieties, each powered by 2KWh, 3KWh, and 4KWh battery packs, adding to the excitement while Ola’s wildly popular S1 portfolio receives a new 2kWh battery pack option.

The S1 Pro and S1’s success have solidified Ola’s market dominance. Ola exceeded the 25000 unit sales mark once more in January while also recording its best month ever in terms of monthly performance, continuing the pace into 2023 as well.

Ola’s new S1 model, which now strengthens the already impressive S1 lineup, boasts a 2kWh battery, an 8.5 kW motor, and delivers the same excellent acceleration and performance as the previous variants, but at a far lower cost. The new Ola S1 model, which costs INR 99,999, has an IDC range of 91 kilometres and a top speed of 90 km/hr.

All 11 colour palettes—Gerua, Matt Black, Coral Glam, Millennial Pink, Porcelain White, Midnight Blue, Jet Black, Marshmellow, Anthracite Grey, Liquid Silver, and Neo Mint—will be offered on the new S1 model as well.

An S1 for everyone

When Ola S1 Air was first introduced during Diwali 2022, it drew a roaring reaction during the first reservation session. For the new S1 Air versions, Ola has redesigned the drivetrain and battery packs while keeping the cutting-edge appearance and its unmatched features of the well-known Ola S1. The Ola S1 Air will now be available in 3 models, each powered by a 2kWh, 3kWh, or 4kWh battery pack, a 4.5kW hub motor, and a top speed of 85 km/h. The IDC range for the 3kWh and 4kWh models of the Ola S1 Air is 125 ms and 165 kilometres, respectively, while the IDC range for the 2 kWh variant is 85 kms.

The preferred model can now be selected by customers based on their unique range requirements.

With a striking two-tone body colour scheme, the S1 Air is offered in the following colours: Coral Glam, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Jet Black, and Liquid Silver. The Ola S1 Air has best-in-class technology, performance, and design, as well as the most recent OS upgrades, and it is priced from INR 84,999 for the base variant (2 kwh) to INR 99,999 for the mid-variant (3 kwh) and INR 109,999 for the top variant (4 Kwh). Customers who had already ordered the 2.5 kWh variant of S1 Air during the Diwali reservation window will automatically be upgraded to the 3 kWh variant.

With the launch of the S1 Air and new S1 variants, Ola will have premium alternatives to ICE scooters at every price point and be able to provide consumers with a wide range of value propositions. While the S1 and Pro provide the finest performance and thrills in a scooter, in three different battery pack configurations, the S1 Air offers the same design, technology, and best-in-class value proposition at a lower cost in the same three different battery pack configurations.

Ola has been rapidly growing, and there are already 200 experience centres spread out around the nation where customers can learn more about its technology, order deliveries, and get their vehicles repaired. Ola intends to significantly increase its D2C outreach and open 500 experience centres by March 2023, with 80% of all customers now living within 20 km of an Ola Experience Centre.
