Have A Look At Tata’s ICE-Powered Curvv

The Tata Curvv made its debut last year in April 2022 as an EV concept and now, its ICE version has been showcased at the AutoExpo 2023. Tata has made the Curvv coupe SUV’s platform compatible with both ICE and EV powertrains.

The Tata Curvv will be positioned above its compact SUV sibling, the Nexon, and will rival the Hyundai Creta and Skoda Kushaq. Let’s have a look at what’s what about the Curvv’s design, ICE powertrain, and other highlights in detail.

Tata Curvv: Exterior Design

The Tata Curvv, unlike a traditional SUV shape, is styled like an SUV coupe and is based on the Curvv concept showcased earlier by the automaker. The overall design of the ICE Concept is identical to that of the electric concept, with some slight exterior differences.

The Curvv SUV has a clean & minimalist design language which will be the brand’s signature design language moving forward. Compared to the Curvv concept shown last year, the model showcased at the Auto Expo gets production-ready elements.

It sports a coupe-like roofline that slopes downward at the rear while a high window line, tall stance, flared wheel arches, and massive 19-inch alloy wheels. The Curvv receives something we haven’t seen before in the segment – frameless doors.

Tata Curvv: Engine & Transmissions

The Curvv will be available in all three powertrain options, including EV, petrol, and diesel. The Curvv’s ICE derivative will receive power from a 1.2-liter turbo GDi petrol engine. The engine generates 125 PS and either 190 Nm or 225 Nm of peak torque.

The brand debuted 2 new turbocharged petrol engines, this 1.2-liter engine and a bigger 1.5-liter engine at the motor show. With the engine, we might expect both a manual and an automatic transmission.

Tata Curvv: Features & Other Highlights

A digital cockpit and a big digital infotainment screen will be the highlight & the cabin is largely devoid of buttons. There is a new design for the steering wheel, which will first be seen on the Curvv. The steering wheel will sport the backlit Tata logo.
