2018 Yamaha YZF-R3 Begins Arriving At Dealerships In India

India Yamaha Motor (IYM) had discontinued the R3 motorcycle in India last year as the product did not comply with the BS-IV emission norms. At the Auto Expo held this year in Delhi, the R3 made a comeback in the 2018 avatar, with new graphics and feature updates.

Engine specifications remain unchanged and hence the 2018 Yamaha R3 continues to source power from the same 321cc, twin cylinder, liquid cooled engine. This BS-IV compliant motor produces a maximum power output of 42 PS at 10,750 rpm while the peak torque of 29.6 Nm comes up at 9,000 rpm. This engine is mated to a six speed transmission.
