Bajaj Dominar VS production commences

Bajaj Dominar 400 name confirmed, launch scheduled on December 15

After many speculations and reports, Bajaj Auto has confirmed that its biggest and most powerful motorcycle will be christened as the Dominar 400. The Dominar 400 — which, in Spanish, translates “to excel or exceed in power” — will be unveiled in India on December 15, 2016. As reported earlier, the first batch of Dominar 400 motorcycles have already been rolled out from Bajaj Auto’s Chakan Plant.

Bajaj aims to sell about 10,000 units of the Dominar 400 per month. While the number seems a bit too optimistic, Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, insists that it isn’t, as the motorcycle will be pitched squarely against the Royal Enfield clan. Royal Enfield, which mainly deals in 350-500cc segment, manages to shift around 50,000 motorcycles per month.

The Dominar 400 has already created lot of excitement amongst bikers, which is befitting for what’s going to be one of the most path breaking products in the history of the Indian motorcycle industry.”
