New images of Toyota’s upcoming Calya mini MPV have surfaced revealing a host of details. Previously, the mini MPV, based on Ayga hatchback, was spotted in a darker shade and later on we had updated you guys with the digital render of the same. Along with the exterior details of the Calya, which we’ve already learnt, these images also provide a peek inside.

The mini-MPV’s interiors get a dual tone dashboard, and a three-spoke steering right in front of an instrument cluster that features conventional, analogue dials placed beside a small digital display. The center console gets a double DIN audio system placed between two AC vents, while the manual gear shifter is positioned on the centre console itself, with the manual AC controls besides it.
The Calya model, spied this time, is reported to be the G trim and is loaded with premium features like power-windows, dual tone interiors, alloy wheels, body painted ORVMs and exterior door handles, and rear AC vents.

The Calya will be manufactured in Indonesia at a high localization rate with petrol engines displacing between 980 cc – 1,200 cc. In reported news, the 7-seater mini MPV will retail as a Low-Cost Green Car and will likely borrow an engine sourced from the Etios. This 1.2-litre petrol engine, that makes around 78 Bhp and 103 Nm of torque, will be mated to a 5-speed manual or an automatic transmission. The Toyota Calya will also sell as the Daihatsu Sigra in Indonesia following its launch in August 2016. And now for its India launch details, there is no clarity on the topic as of yet.
