Hi everyone. I have been lurking around this sub since i got my fz6 2006 last fall. Really great place to hang around even though i don’t write much. I have learned a lot about my bike from this sub. But now I have a weird issue and I have been asking around but no one really recognizes the issue and searching the good old internet didn’t help either.

The bike was in great shape when I bought it and haven’t had any strange noises or any other issues. Last weekend I decided to change the oil and then went out for a test ride. Almost immediately i noticed that if i was in second gear and pulled the clutch, there was a clicking/clunking noise if I reved the engine still rolling and holding the clutch (not when I stand still). The noise can be heard doing the same thing in third gear, but not as tangible as in 2nd gear. Can anyone explain this phenomena? I assume it is the clutch making the noise because it is similar to when I let go of the clutch after shifting gear and perhaps it is the reving that “pulls” the clutch but it makes me nervous driving around with it not knowing what it is.
