Tata Indica Vista D90 Diesel launch on 28th January 2013

Indica Vista D90

The Tata Indica Vista D90 is all set for its official unveiling on the 28th of January 2013. The earlier generation of Indica Vista was generous on space and features for a hatchback coupled with the economy of a diesel burner offering a great value-for-money proposition. But lost grounds when it came to engine performance. The renowned Fiat Quadrajet engine was tuned more towards economy making the effort of lugging around this 1140 kgs hatch a weary task.

Taking cognizance of the issue, Tata Motors have plonked in a peppier 90 bhp variant of the Quadrajet that does duty on the Tata Manza Club Class sedan. Though the torque figure at 200nm implies a marginal bump over the earlier 190nm, but the 15bhp boost surely makes for a pleasant spec chart and should make the D90 a light footed athlete.

In addition to the engine upgrade, the D90 would feature current and average fuel usage indicators, outside temperature and computerised distance computers, follow me headlamps, one-touch-down front (driver) side window and full blackened roof at the top. Also the car would be adorning two new shades i.e. Jet Silver and Ultra Violet.

Available in two variants viz. the VX and ZX, prices are estimated to be Rs.5,75,000/- and Rs.6,45,000/- respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi)
