Tata increases prices of all its cars, except of Nano and Aria, by as much as INR 12000

India’s popular car and CV maker, Tata Motors, increased prices of all its passenger vehicles save for Nano and Aria by as much as Rs 12,000. The reason, as always, is being cited as the high input costs in manufacturing.

“The high input costs have been impacting us for quite some time. We have decided to pass on some burden to our customers. The quantum of the hike will vary between Rs 7,000 and Rs 12,000 depending on the model,the price hike has been effected since yesterday,”  said a company spokesperson.

It surely is a wise move to not increase the Nano’s prices and the decision to not touch the Aria crossover’s pricing is logical as the vehicle is already not very popular in the market.
