Suzuki India seems to be in a mood to delight Indian customers as the company recently announced that its most popular superbike, the Hayabusa, would be assembled in India. This move resulted in a price cut of Rs. 2.3 lakhs.
This time, the Japanese Manufacturer has announced a new limited period offer on the GSX-S1000 ABS. Valid till March 31st, buyers would get a cash back of Rs. 50,000 along with a Kushitani riding jacket that comes at a price tag of Rs. 60,000. The offer will be valid only in Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai for GSX-S1000 and would not be applicable to the GSX-S1000F ABS.
Priced at Rs. 12.25 lakh (Ex-Showroom, Delhi), the offer would benefit the buyer by more than Rs. 1 lakh. The naked sports bike currently arrives in India through the CBU route.

Powering the GSX-S1000 ABS is a 999cc 4 cylinder, liquid cooled engine that produces a power output of 144 hp at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 105 Nm at 9500 rpm. This engine sends power to the rear wheel with the help of a six speed transmission. The motorcycle, which has a fuel tank capacity of 17 litres, features a top speed of 241 km/h.
The company, which recently started the assembly line for the Hayabusa, may also consider bringing the GSX-S1000 ABS down to India as a CKD unit. This move could result in a significant price reduction which could help Suzuki GSX-S1000 clock better sales.
