VIDEO: India bound Skoda Kodiaq takes on the countryside; camouflage still remains

The Skoda Kodiaq will be revealed at the 2016 Paris Motor Show that is scheduled to take place in October this year. Keeping the premium SUV under the wraps, the Czech automaker has revealed a host of details already. And now to take the excitement to the next level, Skoda has released a video of the Kodiaq in action. In the video, we can see the 7-seater SUV making rounds in scenic countryside roads but what is surprising is the fact that the Kodiaq still runs with its camouflage on.

The video was released by Skoda Portugal. The camera does not pan inside the SUV but captures the Kodiaq through almost all exterior angles. Speaking of exterior features, the 4.7m long Kodiaq SUV gets an door-edge protection that saves the vehicle from damages in parking places. In addition, the vehicle also gets a whole bunch of driving assistance systems including Area View cameras, Tow Assist system, predictive pedestrian protection, and Parking Distance Control.

The Kodiaq will feature 2,065 litres of boot capacity that is said to be the largest in its class. Inside, the SUV will be packed with features like electric child safety lock, a sleep comfort package with special headrests and a top notch infotainment system derived from Volkswagen Group’s second-generation Modular Infotainment Matrix. The infotainment system will get SmartLink platform, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink and SmartGate.

Once launched the Skoda Kodiaq will be available with 5 engines options comprising two TDIs and three TSIs . The more powerful motor, 2.0 liters TSI will provide a power of 180 horsepower . These engines will be assisted by a six-speed manual gearbox or a DSG transmission.
