The all-new BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) has been launched in India at an attractive price tag of Rs 1.15 crore (ex-showroom Delhi). The second generation of this SAC is now available at BMW dealerships across India as CBU model.

The BMW X6 is claimed to combine the quintessential BMW X qualities with the athletic elegance of a BMW coupe. The front receives the hallmark BMW kidney grille and large air inlets with horizontal chrome trims, horizontal lines along with L-shaped tail lights with three-dimensional LED Adaptive Light Banks emphasize the wide stance and convey a powerful, solid appearance.
The interior boasts a sense of exclusive sportiness by the signature BMW driver oriented design of the cockpit, the innovative control and display elements. elevated seating position and lines which streak dynamically from the instrument panel into the door panels to form a ring around the interior.
At the heart of this all-new BMW X6 is a twin-turbo in-line six-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 313 hp of power and 600Nm of torque at 1,500-2,500 rpm. This power propels this massive SAC (Sport Activity Coupe in BMW speak) from naught to 100kph in 5.8 seconds to a top speed of 240 kph. The engine comes mated to a new eight-speed automatic transmission. The coupé-crossover gets the usual BMW driving modes, including the environment friendly Eco Pro mode.

The original X6 was launched in India back in 2009. Largely based on the X5 SUV, the new X6 is internationally available with a choice of two petrol engines (xDrive35i, X6 M) and one diesel engine (xDrive40d). The 2015 X6 is also 40 kg lighter than its predecessor, and continues to offer the BMW’s signature 50:50 weight distribution over the front and rear axles. The ace rivals for the BMW X6 are the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupé and the upcoming Audi Q8.
The all-new BMW X6 comes with the M Sports Package as a standard which further accentuates its athletic appearance. The M-style car key arouses anticipation for a dynamic driving experience. Its air inlets on the front and the rear aprons, along with the tailpipe trim in high gloss chrome and pronounced side sills are complemented by the 19” double-spoke style light alloy wheels with mixed tyres. The M Leather steering wheel features particularly convenient multifunction buttons and integrated gearshift paddles, while the door sill finishes with M logo.
