  • Bajaj Pulsar 180 NS Launch could happen next year
  • More spy images surface

It is quite a well known fact that popular two wheelers maker Bajaj Auto Ltd is busy working on complete model replacement for its Pulsar 180. The bike has been spotted testing on numerous occasions and seen here is yet another set of upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 180 NS spy images. It may be noted that while the 200SS, which is essentially a faired 200NS, will be unveiled at Auto Expo 2014, the Bajaj Pulsar 180NS launch is likely to happen only next year.

As can be seen in the images, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 180 NS wil sport plenty of desing cues that will be taken from the elder 200NS and will boast of naked streetfighter styling. This parts-borrowing has been to such a great extent that the headlight, alloy wheels, fuel tank and even side panels seem to be the same.

Other interesting observations from these images are as follows-

  • Monoshock absorbers
  • Petal Discs
  • Alloy wheels similar to 200NS
  • Underbelly exhaust
  • LED tail / stop light
  • Full chain cover
  • Single non-split seat
  • New Grab rails

Unlike the 200NS, the Pulsar 180 NS doesn’t sport a rear tyre hugger or mudguard. However, it does sport a sporty registration plate bracket that was first seen on the 135LS.

Powering the upcoming Bajaj Puslar 180 NS could be a new 180cc single pot motor that is likely to have a power output of around 21PS. The motor is likely to benefit from triple-spark and 4 valvle technology and would come mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.

  1. No dude, the exclusivity will get better, introducing the real Pulsar 200 — The Fully Faired Pulsar 200SS. Many few people will then go for the 200NS after that. So by the introduction of 150NS and 180NS, many will have the option of taking a beast higher in mileage and lower in acquisition value than the 200NS. and those who just want a Naked Beast…the 200NS is always there.

  2. yarath, how do you know that this is a pulsar 180 NS? It could very well be a base variant of 200 NS! or even a base variant of the 200NS fi version! no?
