Sales of Bajaj Pulsar hits the 5 million mark

This had to happen. From a middle aged shopkeeper to a self proclaimed cool dude who needs all the attention from the fairer sex, and everyone in between, almost every one of these choose a Bajaj Pulsar as their commuting tool. The Indian bike manufacturer Bajaj recently announced that it has sold as many as, hold your breath,  5 million Pulsar bikes. This record was achieved last month and it took Pulsar almost 11 years to reach here. The bike was launched in 2001 and has seen a gazillion upgrades since then.

“The highest ever annual sales (of motorcycles). Pulsar cumulative sales exceeded 5 million units since launch,” Bajaj Auto said in a statement.

This news comes just a few days before the all new generation of Bajaj Pulsar will be launched and it is being said the all new Pulsar 200 NS will go on sale for Rs. 95,000/- (on-road, Pune). Going by the way the 200 NS has turned out to be, we expect the Pulsar brand to hit the magical figure of 10 million in lesser time.

  1. Nothing to surprise here…Pulsar has created the much so called performance era in Indian auto industry for Bajaj and they deserve this credit…Kudos to Bajaj..

  2. well if HMC were to name each and every bike of theirs the same thin.. Then 5 million isn't a big number for them.. I am guessing splendor alone has sold the same number.. and I am not saying its variants i.e. super splendor n all..
while the fact that it will reach 10 million number even faster is for sure..

n abt 200ns, 95k on-road isn possible if u ask me.. it can be ex-showroom though..

  4. Its a great news, Audi Q3 has stunning looks. The pricing affordable in the higher class. Its going to give tough competition to BMW X1. Just cant wait to see a few of them on road.

  5. They are still driving this on Mumbai roads in the same form..no logo nothing with a temporary number plate. Saw this on JVLR today- with great effort and difficulty, managed to click a snap of it only to find it already disclosed on motoroids 😛
