After the Miura, Diablo and the Murcielago, the hardcore Super Veloce (SV) badge will be back this year with the Aventador. A completely undisguised prototype of the Lamborghini Aventador SV has been spotted doing the rounds, finished in what seems like a gorgeous shade of Rosso Mars. The latest SV will benefit from a lot of carbon fiber licked aerodynamic upgrades, among which will include a reworked front and rear bumper, a massive diffuser, and it won’t lack the fixed, huge rear wing that the Murcielago SV so proudly brandished. The mid-mounted quad exhaust setup seems like it’ll be retained, while the alloy wheel design also seems to be all-new.

Regarding the power upgrades, the stock power output of close to 700 horsepower has already been fettled to 720 horsepower for the Aventador 50th Anniversario editions, so in the SV, expect the 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12  to pack some more muscle, closer to the 800 horsepower territory. Apart from being significantly lighter than stock, also on the offing for the SV will be additional air inlets positioned behind the side windows. The Aventador SV is expected at the 2015 Frankfurt Auto Show or maybe even at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este this year.
