MG has launched the updated Gloster at ₹31.99 lakh ex-showroom. This makes it around ₹50000-₹1.28 lakh more expensive than the outgoing model depending on the variant. In terms of changes, the updated Gloster gets minor changes to its exterior, features and an updated variant lineup. Let’s take a look at everything that’s new:
The updated Gloster gets a new shade of Deep Golden color for the exterior. This is in addition to the already existing colours of Metal Black, Metal Ash and Warm White. The previously available ‘Agate Red’ colour option has been discontinued. Other changes include new 18-inch alloy wheels which are inspired by British windmill turbines. However, the new alloy wheels are available exclusively in the 4×4 variants. The interior of the Gloster remains unchanged and most of the changes are regarding the technology. The Gloster now gets Door Open Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Assist as a part of its ADAS package. The i-Smart connected car app now comes with new 35 Hinglish commands in addition the already existing 100 commands.
It now also comes with Android smartwatch connectivity. The MapmyIndia navigation system has been updated as well which now displays weather and AQI, and also get an integrated Discover App that makes it easy to search for hotels and restaurants. Lastly, it gets a new Park Plus app that lets you book and pay in advance for parking slots. MG has removed the previously available Smart trim which means the the Gloster is now offered in three trims, namely, Super, Sharp and Savvy. The 2.0-litre diesel engine that produes 163hp in the 4×2 guise is now available on all variants whereas the 2.0-litre diesel producing 218hp in the 4×4 guise is now available only in the top-end Savvy trim.

We hope to double our Gloster sales with this launch.”
