2021 Aprilia RSV4 Spied For the First Time!

Expect Aprilia to excite all kinds of emotions in a motorcyclist. Aprilia might be renowned in India for its gearless scooters but the Italian bikemaker is one of the most revered motorcycle brands around the world, renowned for making exciting motorcycles. The Aprilia RSV4 is the crown jewel of the Noale factory and a few years back, it was regarded as the best superbike on the whole planet. It still is a formidable force in the litre-class superbike bracket but other manufacturers have caught up now with their respective baton carriers.

More details

Aprilia recently launched the RS660 officially and as far as reception goes, we have been hearing all kinds of positive things about it. And chances are, the upcoming RSV4 might borrow a few pages from the RS660’s design book.

The Aprilia RS660 is definitely a looker and manages to grab all the attention because of its distinctive styling and premium appeal. We have been drooling over its pictures ever since the production-spec version was unveiled in all its glory. And now, some spy pictures have surfaced online which suggest that the upcoming RSV4 will borrow design cues from the RS660. It might be a possibility that Aprilia adopts this look as a new identity for its superbike, leaving behind the characteristic face of 3 luminaires that has lasted over 10 years. The fairing seems different too and we can expect Aprilia to induce some key aerodynamic interventions to improve the RSV4’s capabilities. We can expect Aprilia to retain the same 1078 cc V4 engine but in a different state of tune, so as to pump out more power than before.

Expected upgrades

The spy pictures also reveal Ohlins fork and Brembo brakes hinting that the upcoming Aprilia RSV4 will continue to sport top-drawer equipment. The RSV4 has always featured top-spec equipment from class-leading cycle parts manufacturer and that shouldn’t change in its upcoming iteration as well. We can also expect Aprilia to thoroughly upgrade the electronics package as well. The RS660’s electronics suite is more comprehensive and advanced as compared to the outgoing iteration of the RSV4. The upcoming RSV4 will offer a lot more than its outgoing model. Out of all the things, it’s pretty certain that Aprilia will be aiming straight for the throne with the new RSV4 and the Italian bikemaker isn’t readying just another Superbike.
