The new 2015 Ford Ecosport face-lift has been spied for the first time. While visual differences are said to be limited, it might include the unfortunate removal of the cool, rear mounted spare wheel as these photographs suggest. Apparently the external spare wheel has been receiving a lot of flak in international markets for being aesthetically unfit- we think otherwise.
Apart from that, the 2015 Ford Ecosport doesn’t seem to running any major visual updates at all- at least from the sides. Rims, rear parking sensors, taillights, the shape of the mirrors, wheels- everything continues unchanged. There’ll be a new tail gate, of course with the number plate recess now moving upwards, with the spare wheel having disappeared- that said, we have no clue where Ford has hidden it.
The interiors are slated to receive some minor updates as well, in the form of an updated infotainment system and slightly revised trim/ materials, but other than that it’s going to be the same wine. Also, expect the same 1.5 TDCi (Diesel), 1.0 Ecoboost (Petrol) and 1.5 TiVCT (Petrol) versions to soldier on for next year as well.
