New 2013 Honda CRF250M supermoto unveiled

Supermotos are fast becoming popular and bike manufacturers seem to be working overtime to meet the increased demand for these bikes.

Keeping in with the fast catching trend, Japanese auto giant Honda has unveiled the new 2013 Honda CRF250M supermoto that is based on the CRF250L.

Visually, there is no mistaking the CRF250M for anything but a Supermoto and the new bike comes with aesthetically appealing and well crafted panels.

The new Honda CRF250M sits 20mm lower than the CRF250L and has revised front and rear suspensions that get wider springs. The CRF250M rides on 17 inch wheels.

The CRF250M is built using a steel twin oval-section main spar frame and the front suspension has 43mm inverted forks. Braking is courtesy 296mm floating front disc with Twin Pot caliper and a 200mm disc at the rear with a single pot caliper.


Powering the new Honda CRF250M is a single cylinder, liquid cooled, 250cc motor that has a max power output of [email protected] rpm and a peak torque rating of almost [email protected] rpm. The CRF250M benefits from low friction rocker arm that is almost maintenance free. Fuel is fed to CRF250M’s single cylinder motor by Honda’s PGM-FI fuel injection system with 36mm throttle body.

The CRF250M looks all set to make the boffins at rivalling bike manufacturers really worried.
