The Mahindra XUV500 has done a world of good to M&M, the popular Indian UV and tractor maker. The car has set new sales record in Indian car market and the flagship passenger car from Mahindra is also exported to some countries abroad.
The Mahindra XUV 500 has always been in news for the high sales performance and long waiting period. The XUV 500 is a thoroughly modern car that is Mahindra’s first ever monocoque vehicle. The XUV also brought to Mahindra many awards from various automobile publications and hints at the various world class products that Mahindra wishes to launch in near future.
However, there have been few complaints from some of the XUV 500 owners. Most common of these issues is that of spongy and noisy braking. The other big issue is that of malfunctioning infotainment system. Regulars here would remember that we earlier reported that Mahindra will soon get busy with ironing out all the flaws and now it has emerged that the car maker has started retrofitting a new brake pedal with an improved design for better and earlier bite. It is also being said that Mahindra is in the process of replacing old brake pads with new ones from Bosch.
Mahindra’s hasn’t made any official announcement regarding this development but it is expected that all the new XUV 500 SUVs are being sold with improved brakes.
Current XUV 500 owners too can get their car’s brake system upgraded at the nearest Mahindra service centre. The replacement will be done free of cost under warranty.
