I Didn’t Like The Headlamps Of The Tata Tamo Racemo So I Changed Them

The Tamo Racemo’s got the look. You can’t deny that. It looks edgy, purposeful and Lancia Stratos-ish; its appearance doing justice to its mid-engined sports car tag. However, the minimalist headlamps kinda rob the Racemo’s fascia off a strong illumination signature (entirely my opinion). So I changed them.

In went a pair of full-LED headlamps from the new Acura NSX, tweaked a bit to the fit the bill. So that this Racemo lights up like a string of pearls in the darkest of Forza Horizon 3 nights. I had to digitally buff out the original headlamps and let the new ones sink in. It might not be the best work out there, but you get the idea right?

A pair of headlamps won’t change the Racemo’s hardware of course, which is impressive.  It is built on a patented MOFlex Multi-Material Sandwich (MMS) structure – “a structural technology, enabling greater freedom in surface design, efficient large-scale part integration leading to modularity and faster time to market.”

The 800 kg Racemo draws power from a massaged version of Tata Motor’s 1.2-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine good for 187.4HP @ 6500RPM and 210 Nm of peak torque available from 2500 RPM, resulting in a 0-100 kph time of under 6 seconds! Power is sent to the rear wheels using a 6-speed AMT with paddle shifts.
