Lamborghini Aventador Roadster revealed: Image gallery and power specs

Lamborghini has revealed the new Aventador LP700-4 Roadster, which the company calls “the most exciting series production Lamborghini ever built”. Expected to create a new benchmark in open-top super sports cars, the Aventador is a steamy open top which could give any supermodel the blushes. At the heart of the new Aventador LP700-4 Roadster is a 6.5 liter V12 with 700 thoroughbred horses. The engine is mated with the lightening fast ISR 7-speed gearbox. It accelerates from 0 to 100 Km/h in 3 seconds flat and has a maximum speed of 350 km/h.  With those specs, and that sexy body, we don’t see any competition for this breathtakingly beautiful machine.

The Roadster’s V12 also includes a cylinder deactivation system when the engine is working at partial capacity. With its build concept based on a carbon fiber monocoque, the very skeleton of this roadster is exotic, to say the least.

The new Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster has a new two-piece roof made entirely from carbon fiber using various technologies such as RTM and Forged Composite. Each component is extremely light, weighing less than 6 kg. You will have to fit those components manually though – electric luxuries here, those motors weigh a lot, and could potentially bring the performance down. Those roofs, once removed, can be stored in the front luggage compartment though.
A new colour has been added to the range of colors available for the Coupe. A very light, metallic blue color, Azzuro Thetis is a unique shade, as its tone varies with the angle of the light. This color recalls the shade of the extraordinarily beautiful 1968 Miura Roadster.

The interior has a new look with use of leather called Sabbia Nefertems. The new Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster features new Dione 20″/21″ rims lighter by 10 Kg as compared with the standard set of rims.

Priced at 300,000 euros, the Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster would make you poorer by about Rs 2.4 crores, even before any duties and taxes are levied on it. Someone willing to own the car in India should have at least Rs 6 crores in his pocket.  Is this machine worth the money? You tell us!
