Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan recently acquired a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, the most powerful and most expensive SUV in the FCA owned brand’s portfolio. Now, another Bollywood celebrity has become the proud owner of another Jeep product, and it is none other than Jacqueline Fernandez.
The Judwaa 2 actress recently bought herself a Jeep Compass, photos of which were shared by the brand on one of their social media channels. Jeep India has not revealed any details regarding the variant chosen by Jacqueline although it is most likely that it would be the top-end Limited variant. Finished in a dual tone shade of red with a black roof, the model comes equipped with a number of features such as a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, Select Terrain Traction Management System, capless fuel fill, electric parking brake and 60:40 rear split seats. Safety features available as standard across the range include ABS, EBD, HSA, PBA, ESC, dual airbags and disc brakes on all four corners.
The Jeep Compass is available with two engine options including a 1.4-litre petrol motor and a 2.0-litre diesel motor. While the 1.4-litre Multi-Air petrol unit is capable of producing 163 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque while the 2.0-litre Multijet diesel unit produces 173 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a six speed manual gearbox as standard while a seven speed DDCT unit is available exclusively with the petrol variant. The 4×4 derivative is available only with the diesel variant. Prices for the Jeep Compass now start at INR 15.16 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
