The redesigned Equus isn’t the only car to come from the Korean auto giant Hyundai in recent times. Apart from showcasing the Equus at the ongoing 2013 New York Motor Show, the carmaker has brought the new Hyundai HND-9 Concept at the Seoul Motor Show.

We have always felt that Hyundai has surely made great progress in terms of its car design and the latest concept from the automaker hints at the design for the next generation of the Genesis Coupe.

The HND-9 is the ninth concept car from Hyundai’s R&D Centre in Namyang and the auto group says that “the rear-wheel drive sports coupe concept balances high performance with a sophisticated image.”

The HND-9 sports a design that is an evolution of the Fluidic Sculpture design language and the hexagonal front grill, butterfly doors, 22” alloy wheels and dagger like taillight are the concept car’s new design highlights.

The concept car is 4.69m long, 1.89m wide and measures 1.34m in height. The wheelbase of the car is 2.86m long.

The car is powered by a 3.3 litre turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection engine that has a max power output of 362 bhp. The motor is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox that transmits the power to rear wheels.
